So, I take the chopped raw veggies from Central Market (see earlier post) and put them in a pan with a little olive oil. Put the pasta pot on to boil. By the time the water boils and the pasta cooks, the veggies are perfect. Add a little pasta sauce and grated Parmesan and you have a great meal.
Hodgson Mill Whole Wheat Whole Grain Pasta has 210 cals. for 2 oz. of dry pasta; 1g fat; no cholesterol; no sodium; 41 carbs; 9 g protein!; g sugar; and 6g fiber!!! Can't get better than that!
Try it. It is definitely more dense than white flour pasta. However, the heavy texture makes you feel full and I don't know of another pasta that offers as much protein and fiber.
